Presentations, Dinner and Field Day
The next SQLRG workshop will be hosted in the Toowoomba Region on the 30th of March at the Burke and Wills Hotel. The day shall include demonstrations and presentations talking about all things SOIL!!!
30/03/23 – Consists of a day of networking and presentations followed by a field tour.
8:30am registration for a 9:00am start
Speakers included:
- Ag Tech Hub – What is the hub and current projects
- Department of Environment and Science – Mine closures and compliance with regulations
- Centre for Soil and Erosion Management – Soil Management for Rehabilitation
- SQLRG – Critically Endangered Natural Grassland Communities on the Darling Downs
We will then be heading to Cambooya where Jayne Thorpe from Stablish will be discussing Darling Downs grasslands and showing us some recent site rehab works. Jayne has grown up in a rural agricultural business (free-range sheep (wool and meat) and free-range beef cattle), completed a Bachelor of Science in Plant Ecology, Post Grad Diploma in Ethnobotany, and has worked for 20 years with Landcare and Natural Resource Management not-for-profits.
Your ticket also includes coffee, morning tea, lunch and dinner (cash bar) following the event at 4 Brothers Brewing.
